Marilyn is a Wenatchee artist creating nature-inspired paintings. Encouraged by her family, she returned to painting and discovered a renewed spark of joy that she wishes to share with others. Like music, her art speaks to the soul, capturing the beauty and tranquility of the natural world. Each piece invites viewers to step into the scene and experience its essence.
Marilyn has been creating art from a very a young age. In her early days she loved sewing, crafting, painting, wood working, and basket weaving. She is well diverse in art mediums. Marilyn works as a Nurse at a local hospital, where caregiving allows her to fulfil her desire to help others. She is deeply passionate about her career as a nurse. She dedicates her heart and soul to caring for others. For Marilyn, Nursing is not just a job—it’s a true calling. She makes a meaningful difference in people's lives. The opportunity to have a positive impact on patients, providing care and support during critical times, is one of the most rewarding aspects of her job. While nursing is a career she loves dearly, art allows her to have a creative outlet for spreading joy.
Marilyn finds inspiration for her art in nature and captures the beauty on canvas.
“I long for my art to resonate on a personal level, bringing up memories or thoughts that deeply connect to your own experiences. Sometimes providing a comforting sense of familiarity, and at other times offering new perspectives that challenge people to think or feel differently.”
Marilyn creates on canvas or wood. Paintings are framed with repurposed wood; giving the frame a unique, rustic look, while helping to reduce waste and environmental impact.
