“Paths of Reflection” — Prints

"The Path of Reflection" is one of the most personal paintings I have ever created. Inspired by the timeless Old Newsboys song Always, this piece carries a profound narrative of separation, loss, and the quiet courage it takes to choose hope.

A solitary male figure stands as a powerful presence — a symbol of what was lost, of abandonment, of the weight that grief leaves behind. Yet ahead, a light illuminates the avenue, gently guiding two women and a little girl forward — toward renewal, toward new beginnings, toward healing.

As I painted this piece, I was flooded with thoughts and emotions that run deep in my own family’s story. The struggles of loss, brokenness, and sorrow are woven into every brushstroke. But so is this truth: there are always paths to choose. And I am choosing the one that leads toward hope.
